Jay Willow

Director Jay Willow, Ph.D.

Dr. J. P. (Jay) Willow has over 20 years of experience consulting with athletes, coaches, parents, educators and administrators in a variety of performance contexts, both sporting and non-sporting in nature.

Dr. Willow earned a Doctorate of Philosophy in Kinesiology from Pennsylvania State University in 2002. Prior to this, he completed a Masters of Science in Sport Studies with a Concentration in Sport Behavior and Performance from Miami University under the tutelage of renowned sport psychologists, Drs. Thelma Horn, Robin Vealey and Robert Weinberg. He is currently an Assistant Professor in the Applied Exercise Science Program at Gannon University in Erie, PA, a position he has held since 2002.

Kory Stauffer, Ph.D., ACSM-HFS

Dr. Kory Stauffer holds a Master’s of Science and Doctor of Philosophy in Exercise Physiology from The University of Pittsburgh. Prior to this, he was a four-year letter winner on the Ursinus College football team where he completed a bachelor’s of science degree in Sport and Exercise Science. He is currently an Associate Professor in the Applied Exercise Science Program at Gannon University

Kory has a wealth of experience with exercise testing and prescription including sport-specific programming for athletes across all levels of experience from those just testing the waters to highly competitive, national-caliber athletes.

Suzanne Kitts, Ph.D.

Dr. Suzanne Kitts is an Assistant Professor in the Applied Exercise Science program at Gannon University, a position she has held since 2003. An athletic trainer by training, she is also highly knowledgeable in several other topics specific to sport including nutrition, prevention and care of athletic injuries and women’s health issues including the female athlete triad and body dismorphia.
